The social networking site Twitter has been working for the past few months on audio chat room features, spaces such as Clubhouse for iOS and Android users.
Twitter confirmed to The Verge that it will now work on a space feature for browsers as well.
Researcher Jane Manchin Wong tweeted that Twitter is working on preview cards for the Twitter space for the web app.
The development of this feature is not being kept secret by Twitter and last week the developer of Twitter Space posted some designs on what the screen of Twitter Space will look like on the web.
Keep in mind that the Spaces feature is currently only available on mobile and it will be important to bring this feature to the web. And an Android version is being developed.
This feature will also bring Twitter against Discord, which just yesterday introduced its social audio rooms feature, Stage Channels.
On the other hand, LinkedIn, Mark Cuban, Slack and Spotify are also working on features like live audio like Clubhouse, while Facebook is working on such a feature.
