New York:
Four astronauts have returned to Earth after spending 160 days on the International Space Station. Victor Glover said he hoped the whole experience would be “extremely challenging” but in reality it was less challenging than he had imagined, but overall it was a fun experience.
The SpaceX crew dragon that brought astronauts back to Earth has landed at night for the first time in more than 50 years, according to AFP. US astronaut Victor Glover shared his feelings while returning to Earth. He said he was feeling very heavy. “On one occasion, I was telling myself to breathe in and out,” he said.
It was the first space mission to make a successful voyage to and from the International Space Station on a spacecraft built by billionaire Elon Musk’s company. NASA has signed a deal with Elon Musk’s rocket company SpaceX. Under which astronauts will be transported from American soil into space, which has not been possible since the closure of the space shuttle program in 2011.
Since then, NASA has had to rely on Russian spacecraft to travel in space, at a cost. Another astronaut, Shannon Walker, said: “The experience of landing on water was interesting because no one I didn’t know what to expect, but it was easier to land on water than on land.
Explaining his experience, the Japanese astronaut said that the impact of the ship’s landing on the ground was very small. Aspirants will be traveling in space on a dragon. American astronaut Mike Hawkins believes that tourists will be able to cope with the difficulties of space travel after proper training.
