New York:
The management of the social networking site Instagram has started testing a new method to make better use of the link provided with the stories. Users will now be able to express their feedback on the stories with a sticker.
Insta will now be able to attach links to a sticker instead of a swipe-up. These stickers will work the same way as swipe-up links, but it will just have to be clicked instead of swipe-up. You will also be able to express your reaction with a sticker, which is not possible in swipe up stores at this time.
According to Instagram product head Vishal Shah, the purpose of the test is to find out how people can benefit from links. He said the test would also look at what kind of links people post, while also monitoring links to spam and misleading content.
He said that stickers are the preferred method of people in this platform and therefore links are being made a part of the overall system, which will make it simpler. He added that link stickers are a goal of Instagram which is gradually achieved. This is the system of the future that we want to achieve. Currently this new feature will be limited to verified users or users with at least 10,000 followers.
