Abu Dhabi:
Abu Dhabi Health Department has taken an important step to provide better services to the public by deciding that corona virus infection will now be diagnosed in a modern way, using EDE scanners for diagnosis.
In this regard, Abu Dhabi health authorities have approved the use of locally made EDE scanners to detect corona virus infection. According to the official news agency, the scanning system was developed by the EDE Research Institute Abu Dhabi. Developed to detect infections with the help of electromagnetic waves.
According to the report, when there are RNA particles of Corona virus in the body, changes take place in the electromagnetic waves. Therefore, EDE scanners can detect corona virus quickly with these electromagnetic waves.
Authorities in Abu Dhabi have made the decision in light of pilot trials elsewhere in the city. These places include the Ghantoot Entry Point, some locations on Yas Island, and entrances and exits to the Musafah area. The trial was conducted on more than 20,000 people.
According to the report, the results of the trial show that the use of EDE scanners has been very effective in detecting the corona virus. The results showed 93.5 percent accuracy in identifying people infected with the virus and 83 percent in identifying non-infected people.
In this regard, the Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health Jamal Muhammad Al-Kabi said that we are happy to include the EDE scanning technology developed in Abu Dhabi as a precautionary measure. He said it would help keep areas safe and maintain public health. He added that EDE scanners should be used in conjunction with other approved testing methods such as PCR and DPI.
