Are Karachi residents at risk from hurricane or not? The Meteorological Department, while issuing the third alert regarding Typhoon Gulab, said that at present the storm is at a distance of 2200 km from Karachi and there is no danger to the people of Karachi.
According to the Meteorological Department, Typhoon Rose, which is forming in the Bay of Bengal, is moving towards the west.
The hurricane department added that the hurricane is currently 2,200km from Karachi, but there is no threat to Pakistan’s coastline from the system.
It may be recalled that in an earlier statement, the Meteorological Department had said that rains are expected in Sindh from September 28 due to a typhoon in the Bay of Bengal, while Typhoon Gulab will hit the coast of India today.
It should be noted that the weather in Karachi will remain hot and humid today. The maximum temperature is expected to be 36 degrees Celsius.
