During a media briefing in Islamabad, Sheikh Rashid said that NADRA, FIA and police were conducting a joint investigation. He said that fingerprints could be identified by tomorrow and if the accused could not be arrested in the next few days, advertisements would be issued. Sheikh Rashid said that they are close to the identity of one of the accused. Regarding the beating of journalist Asad Toor by unknown persons in Islamabad, he said that we will soon find the truth behing the case.
The Home Minister clarified that the arrest of the accused was also necessary because some elements were unjustifiably criticizing the country’s intelligence agency to please their foreign masters.
