Talking about the Indian economy, Federal Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Indian economy has shrunk due to wrong economic policies. He said that the biggest pressure on India is its deteriorating internal situation while India’s economy has shrunk by 7.3% due to wrong policies. An estimated 230 million people in India have fallen below the poverty line and 7.3 million people lost their jobs in India in April.
Talking about his visit to Iraq, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that no foreign minister had visited Iraq in the last four decades. Iraq is a key member of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). “I visited Iraq and briefed my Iraqi counterpart on the Kashmir issue because Iraq has an important role to play in bringing peace to the Middle East,” he said.
Earlier, in a program on a private TV channel, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Iraq considers the Palestinian issue as a matter of its internal affairs. Pakistan succeeded in the UN General Assembly and ceasefire was possible in the Middle East. ۔ Efforts are being made to move the peace process forward.
Pakistan’s OIC motion at the UN Human Rights Council was a great success and a commission was set up. The commission will investigate war crimes. Talking about occupied Kashmir, he said that he also informed his Iraqi counterpart about the Kashmir issue and said that Pakistan wants to live in peace in the region. Until the Kashmir issue is resolved, lasting action in the subcontinent is not possible.
