According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Turkey on an official visit, where he visited the Turkish Ministry of Defense, where he met Turkish Defense Minister General (retd) Holuskai Aker, Commander Turkish General Staff General Yasir Guler and Commander Turkish Land Forces met with General Amit Dunder.
On the occasion, he was also presented a guard of honor by the troops. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with Turkish Defense Minister General (retd) Holuskai Aker, Commander Turkish General Staff General Yasir Guler and Commander Turkish Land Forces General Amit Dunder. Issues of mutual interest and regional security situation were discussed during the meeting.
Appreciating Turkey’s relations with Pakistan, especially its efforts for peace in the region, the Chief of Army Staff said that Turkey is the most important Muslim country in the region and thanked Turkey for its support in Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace. The Turkish Defense Minister appreciated the positive role of Pakistan in the regional peace and stability, especially in the Afghan peace process. The Turkish Defense Minister also reiterated his commitment to continue working for better relations between the two brotherly countries. In addition, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Azerbaijan.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief met with the Azerbaijani Interior Minister and Chief of State Border Service in Baku. The ISPR said that the meetings focused on issues of mutual interest, bilateral defense and security. Cooperation was discussed. On the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff said that the geo-strategic situation in the region requires close relations between the two countries, the geo-strategic situation in the region and common challenges must be addressed.
