The Supreme Court has handed down a major verdict against those responsible for the petrol crisis that erupted last year. The court ruled that the government should take stern action against them. The government should improve storage to avoid such a crisis in the future.
According to details, Azhar Siddique and Sardar Farhat Manzoor Chandio had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court against the petroleum crisis in the country, on which Chief Justice Lahore High Court Qasim Khan has ruled.
The court ruled that the government should take stern action against those who created the artificial crisis, recovering from the accused as these companies looted billions of rupees from the public in the days of crisis. To avoid such a crisis, the government should improve storage and maintain a minimum amount of storage.
In its judgment, the court directed that the recommendations made by the Commission on Petrol Crisis be implemented and the recommendations of the Commission be placed before the Federal Cabinet which would take action in their light.
The Lahore High Court in its judgment said that the federal government should form a committee on the recommendation of the commission to decide on the retention or dissolution of OGRA to decide on it. To be presented in court
