The Sindh cabinet has approved a 20 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees. According to the cabinet’s approval, the minimum salary has been fixed at Rs 25,000. The total budget of the education department has been increased by 13% to Rs 268.424 billion.
According to details, a meeting of the cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. The cabinet was briefed about the budget. It was informed in the briefing that salaries of government employees are being increased by 20%. 217 billion and the grant of local bodies has been increased to Rs. 82 billion.
In the meeting, the Sindh cabinet approved a 20 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees. Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab said that the minimum salary in Sindh was fixed at Rs 25,000 and no new tax was included in the budget by the Sindh government.
