The President of Tajikistan, Emam Ali Rahman, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday at the invitation of the prime Minister of Pakistan and with the aim of deepening bilateral relations and economic, defense and security cooperation.
Imam Ali Rehman is scheduled to meet today and tomorrow with Imran Khan, the first Minister and Arif Alawi, the President of Pakistan.
This is Rehman’s seventh trip to Pakistan from the year 9. The President of Tajikistan paid his last official visit to Pakistan for the last time in two years and after attending the 13th ECO Summit in March, he visited Islamabad.
During his visit, Imam Ali Rehman signed several cooperation agreements aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in economic, political, defense and security spheres.
Tajikistan is currently the head of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Islamabad and Dushanbe have shared important views on important regional and international issues and have enjoyed close cooperation in various forums.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Farvardin Mah paid an official visit to Tajikistan this year and also attended the International Heart of Asia Conference in Dushanbe.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stressed that the visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan will strengthen the two countries’ efforts to establish long-term and long-term ties.
