Federal Minister for Development, Reforms and Planning Asad Omar has appealed to the people to refrain from going to common public places for celebrating and entertainment purposes on Eid. Getting vaccinated is very important for the betterment of your home, family and Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he said, “Vaccination is necessary to prevent corona. The number of vaccinations has been more than 500,000 in a single day for the last four days.” I have packed the vaccine and I appeal to the people to get vaccinated.
He said that 125 million people are over 18 years of age in Pakistan out of which 88 lakh people were vaccinated with one dose from February 3 to July 1 out of which 9,917 cases have been reported besides 43. One lakh people were fully vaccinated out of which 5,643 cases were reported.
Asad Omar said, “The only difference is that one out of every 333 Pakistanis who have not been vaccinated has had coronary heart disease. One in 2,500 people became infected with the corona virus.
He said that even a single dose of the vaccine starts the process of safety, those who do not get vaccinated are 4 times more at risk than those who get a single dose. These are the statistics.
The Federal Minister said that even those who get corona after vaccination do not show any serious symptoms and the risk is reduced. He said that the Indian variety of corona is wreaking havoc in the world. It is very important for the betterment of your home, family and Pakistan.
He said that if a large number of people would be vaccinated then the society would be completely free. Talking about the impact of Indian type on Pakistan, Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the rate of positive cases in the country 5 to 6 percent.
“More troubling is the impact it has on our health system. About 500 people were in critical condition in the second wave, 1,500 in the third wave and now about 2,500 need intensive care,” he said.
