Islamabad :
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that in the current situation of the world different blocs are being formed but Pakistan will not be a part of any bloc. The situation in the world seems to be heading towards Cold War.
Addressing a seminar in Islamabad, he said that the Cold War had already caused great damage to the world, so Pakistan did not want to be trapped, but wanted to bring people closer together as we did in the Iran-Saudi Arabia conflict. What
“We want Pakistan to somehow stop the widening gap between the US and China in the same way that Pakistan did in the 1970s. Why is there always competition in trade but not beyond that?” Go away, as was the case with the Soviet Union, the United States and the West.
The Prime Minister said that the second major issue before us was Afghanistan where it could have been worse and we feared the outbreak of civil war which was the most frightening situation for us. For our future, peace in Afghanistan is very important. “If the civil war had started, refugees would have come here and Afghanistan would have been devastated, but if we look, the Afghan people and we are fortunate that there was no such catastrophe,” he added.
“But the catastrophe to save Afghanistan is a humanitarian crisis because the freezing of assets will affect the people, so we are trying our best to let the world know whether you like the Taliban or not,” he said. The real problem is for 40 million Afghans, if this situation continues then what will happen to these people.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan will do its best but until the United States realizes that if the humanitarian crisis becomes serious as a result of freezing funds and shrinking the economy, it will be to the detriment of all but Pakistan the most. It will be more, but it will also be a very difficult time for Afghans who have been facing difficulties for 40 years.
He said that Pakistan will play its full role because peace in Afghanistan is very important for our future. Apart from us, Central Asian countries also want to connect with us but for that peace in Afghanistan is very much needed.
