A press release issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR) said that security forces conducted an operation on intelligence in the Spin Wam area of Waziristan in exchange of fire with security forces in North Waziristan. Two TLP terrorists were killed while a Pak Army soldier was martyred .
He said that the security forces conducted an operation on the information of presence of terrorists. According to ISPR, two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with the terrorists.
He said that both the TTP terrorists who were killed were active in Spain Wam and were involved in terrorist activities against the security forces.
According to ISPR, Naik Nazakat Hussain was martyred in a confrontation with terrorists. He said that the martyred 32-year-old youth was a resident of Attock.
It may be recalled that four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan in February this year.
Security forces were aware of the presence of terrorists in a compound in Mir Ali, on which the terrorists opened fire as soon as the personnel cordoned off the area.
Earlier, on February 2, security forces killed three terrorists during an operation in Lower Dir, near the Pak-Afghan border.
It is to be noted that there are frequent clashes between the security forces and militants in Waziristan, especially in the northern part of the country, in which the security forces have killed several key terrorists during the recent encounters. He has also offered his life for the sake of God.
Earlier on January 24, security forces killed five terrorists, including two key commanders, in an operation in the Mirali and Khaisur areas of the North Waziristan tribal district.
On January 18, two terrorists were killed and one was injured during a security operation in the South Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The ISPR said the slain terrorists were active members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Sajna group and IED experts, terrorist trainers, fat waiters and were involved in attacks on security forces.
Earlier on January 15, Lance Naik Ibad Ali was martyred in an attack by unknown gunmen on a security official near a check post in Aziz Khel area of Mirali sub-division.
