Kuwait City:
Kuwait has successfully launched its first satellite into space with a major breakthrough in the field of science. The Kuwaiti satellite is a locally developed one-kilogram nano-satellite. This type of satellite is also known as cube satellite or cube sat.
According to international media reports, Kuwait launched the first locally made satellite and launched it into space. According to the report, this planet is a one kilogram nano satellite. Bassam Al-Fili, the founder and chief executive officer of Kuwait’s Orbital Space Company, confirmed on Thursday that the planet will be sent into space.
“Kuwait’s first satellite, the Falcon 9, was launched into space by a launching vehicle. The satellite launched by Kuwait is considered to be an educational satellite with micro or nanometric dimensions,” he said. This type of satellite is also known as the Cube Satellite or Cube Set, with a total volume of about ten cubic centimeters.
In 1957, the Soviet Union launched the world’s first satellite, Sputnik 1. Since then, 6,600 satellites from more than 40 countries have been launched. According to a 2013 estimate, 3,600 remained in orbit. About 1,000 of them were working. While the rest have lived their useful lives and have become space debris.
About 500 operational satellites are in low-Earth orbit, 50 are in medium-Earth orbit (at 20,000 km), and the rest are in geological orbits (36,000 km). Some large satellites have been launched into sections and have accumulated in orbit.
