Srinagar:
In view of the Indian President’s visit to Occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Occupied Kashmir has once again appealed to the Kashmiri people to go on a full-scale strike on the occasion of the Indian President’s visit and tell the world that the Indian President’s Those who are the supreme commanders of their forces are being subjected to oppression and barbarism to crush the Kashmiris’ spirit of independence.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the spokesperson of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference said in a statement issued in Srinagar that the visit of the Indian President was taking place at a time when bloodshed was continuing in the entire occupied territory and the bodies of Kashmiri martyrs were not being handed over to their families. They are buried in unknown cemeteries without religious rites. This is a clear violation of human rights guaranteed by the 1948 United Nations Charter of Human Rights.
The spokesman strongly condemned the brutal use of force against the civilian population and the unannounced curfew and strict sanctions to stop public protests against the visit of Indian President Ram Nath Kavand.
The spokesman urged other international human rights organizations, including the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to support the ongoing human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Take stern notice of the serious violations and help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions that India has also signed.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Naqash termed the proposed visit of the Indian President as an attempt to throw dust in the eyes of the international community and appealed to the people of Kashmir to go on full strike.
He said that the visit was adding salt to the wounds of Kashmiris. He said that millions of Indian terrorists in uniform were martyring Kashmiris in fake encounters on a daily basis to enforce Hindutva in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In order to erase the identity of Kashmir through constitutional and cultural aggression, fake domicile certificates are being issued to millions of Sangh Parivar terrorists and they are being armed in the name of village defense committees.
