Former Chief Minister of Occupied Kashmir Omar Abdullah has expressed outrage over the arrest of Kashmiri soldiers and said that arresting Kashmiri soldiers without any reason and on the basis of a mere statement is illegal and inhumane.
According to details, Omar Abdullah, vice-president of the National Conference in Occupied Kashmir and former chief minister, has said that the arrest of a Kashmiri political activist was merely a statement that he had more expectations from local Kashmiri officials than non-Kashmiri officials. Is the result of unbridled authority.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah said in a statement in Srinagar that it was unacceptable for a person to be sent to jail for making a harmless statement.
It may be recalled that Sajjad Rashid Sufi, a 50-year-old resident of Safapura area of Ganderbal district, was arrested by the Indian police for telling an adviser to the Lieutenant Governor of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir that local officials of Kashmir Understand better and have no expectations from non-local officials.
Sajjad Rashid’s remarks angered the Ganderbal Deputy Commissioner from Uttar Pradesh and put him in jail.
The Communist Party of India Marxist and People’s Conference has also strongly criticized the arrest of Sajjad Ahmed and appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take notice of the matter.
