Srinagar:
Former Chief Minister of Occupied Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has made an important announcement regarding contesting the elections and said that she will not take part in the elections till Article 370 is restored by India.
According to media reports, Mehbooba Mufti said that the Indian government’s talks with Pakistan are inevitable. In her meeting with Modi, she talked about talks with Pakistan.
The former Chief Minister of Occupied Kashmir said that dissent has been declared a crime in India and the struggle will continue till Kashmiris get their rights.
It may be recalled that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met 14 Kashmiris, including a puppet former chief minister of occupied Kashmir, in New Delhi yesterday, in which the Modi government tried to create a new drama in occupied Kashmir.
On the other hand, people from various walks of life in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have termed the participation of Kashmiri political leaders in the all-party meeting held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ridiculous.
According to Kashmir Media Service, locals in their interviews termed the all-party meeting as a fixed match for which Kashmiri politicians were longing.
Shahid Ahmed, a college student, said New Delhi has always hurt the confidence of Kashmiris and local politicians are always ready to collaborate with New Delhi.
He said that India was once again trying to tell the international community that everything was fine in Kashmir and that was why a fixed match was held with Kashmiri politicians in Delhi.
He said the meeting was a warning to Kashmiri politicians as New Delhi did not spare even Sheikh Abdullah who had presented Kashmir to India on a plate but later in 1953 he was sent to jail and humiliated. ۔
The student said that when New Delhi felt it needed Sheikh Abdullah again, he was released and re-elected in 1975.
“India keeps repeating the same formula over and over again but I cannot blame New Delhi because our own politicians are power hungry,” Shahid Ahmed said.
Mushtaq Dar, a shopkeeper in Srinagar, believes that politicians in occupied Jammu and Kashmir are responsible for everything.
He said that speaking one language in New Delhi has been the practice of Kashmiri politicians for decades in the Occupied Territories but now they could not fool the Kashmiris any more with their stunt.
