Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated with religious devotion and respect all over the country in remembrance of the great sacrifices of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail.
Eid prayer gatherings were held at mosques, Eid venues and open spaces in small and large cities, towns and villages, following all precautionary measures against the corona virus.
Scholars in Eid sermons highlighted the importance of the philosophy of the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ishmael. After the Eid prayers, citizens are performing the duty of animal sacrifice following the Sunnah of Ibrahim.
Due to rains across Pakistan, people are facing severe difficulties in offering Eid prayers and sacrificing animals, and Eid prayers were offered inside mosques due to flooding in Eid venues in many places.
In view of the rains across the country, special measures have also been taken by all the district administrations to destroy and clean up the remains of sacrificial animals.
The largest gathering of Eid-ul-Adha prayers in the federal capital Islamabad was held at Faisal Mosque where President Dr Arif Ali also offered prayers.
The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Deputy Chairman Senate and important political and social personalities including ambassadors from different Muslim countries offered Eid prayers at Faisal Mosque. He offered Eid prayers.
