The government has started considering summer vacations due to extreme heat and poor condition of children in schools. Holidays are likely in educational institutions from June 15. Innocent children in different districts including Lahore and Islamabad due to extreme heat. Fainting and fainting, while unannounced power outages have also increased.
According to sources, the government has opened schools in the scorching heat of June, but it has become impossible for children to go to school and then return from school in the scorching heat. Despite the scorching heat in schools, children are not only forced to sit in classrooms but also have to drink hot water. Most of the schools do not have basic facilities due to the hot weather and there is no water filtration plant. Problems of water scarcity are also emerging.
Similarly, sitting 50-50 children together in classes raises the temperature further. If the power goes out, the sweat-soaked children become exhausted from the heat. In rural areas, the children have to travel long distances from one village to another. The distance has to be covered. Hemorrhage broke out in Government Junior Model School, Model Town, Lahore yesterday, on which the teachers gave them medical aid. Nearby children fainted, children started bleeding due to heat, water was poured on the children’s heads and efforts were made to stop the bleeding, WAPDA was also informed but power could not be restored. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
According to sources, the total number of children in the school is 200. The school was closed due to lack of electricity. Temperatures across the province, including Lahore, rose to 43 degrees Celsius. As the heat intensified, so did the children. Due to the extreme heat, the condition of students in most of the schools deteriorated. Parents have expressed serious concerns about the rising heat. Parents say that children should be given new books and homework immediately and given summer vacations so that they can be saved from great loss.
At the request of parents, the government has begun considering early summer vacations in schools. It is possible for children in the first to eighth grades to be given leave and children taking board exams to be given leave after the exams.
