President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the development of the country is linked with the development of the city of Karachi. We cannot ignore the plight of the people living in Karachi . I am playing my full role in solving the problems related to the city of Karachi .
These views were expressed by the President Dr. Arif Alvi in a high level meeting held at the Governor House. During the meeting, the Karachi Transformation Project and the construction and development of the city’s infrastructure were discussed.
The high-level meeting chaired by the President was also attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, the new wave of corona virus and growing cases were also discussed in the meeting.
During the meeting, Governor Sindh apprised the President about the situation of clean drinking water supply, sewerage, waste system and transport in the city and the steps taken by the federal government in this regard. Informing about the situation, he said that there are clear indications that the fourth wave has started due to violation of SOPs.
The President of Pakistan said that people should be vaccinated as soon as possible and follow the instructions of NCOC to prevent the spread of the virus. Dr. Arif Alvi further said that effective decision making helps Pakistan It has helped a lot to avoid the situation.
