LAHORE: A meeting was held between Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in which it was agreed to contest the by-elections jointly.
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz reached Bilawal House to meet PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, where the two discussed various issues.
Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Hamza Shahbaz on assuming the office of Chief Minister of Punjab while issues of mutual interest, political situation and working relationship were discussed during the meeting. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to contest Imran Khan together and agreed to contest the by-elections jointly.

PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari welcomed Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, hosted a luncheon in Bilawal House in honor of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz while the Chief Minister Punjab removed the reservations of PPP.
Accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, Provincial Ministers Ata Tarar Malik Ahmed Ali, Khawaja Salman Rafique and Imran Goraya are also present on the occasion. Gilani and Syed Hassan Murtaza were also present.
Earlier, the PPP had expressed displeasure over the non-compliance of the ministries with the departments, on which Hamza Shahbaz informed the PPP in an informed meeting about which departments would get the ministries.
On the other hand, former president and co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari had arrived in Lahore exclusively on a two-day visit. The PPP had summoned senior Punjab Minister Hassan Murtaza from Islamabad to Lahore to meet the Punjab Chief Minister.
It may be recalled that the coalition party PPP was dismissed from the committee set up by the Punjab government to amend the Local Government Act.
