ISLAMABAD: Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in Noor Muqaddam murder case, has filed an appeal against his conviction in the Islamabad High Court on which the court sought record from the trial court.
According to sources , Zahir Jaffer, the main convict in Noor Muqaddam murder case, was sentenced to death by the trial court and sentenced to 25 years hard labor, against which Zahir Jaffer filed an appeal in the Islamabad High Court today. The main culprit has requested that the sentence be quashed.
Meanwhile, the court sought the record of the trial court on the appeal against the acquittal of nine accused in the Noor Muqaddam murder case. Advocate Shah Khawar appeared in the court on behalf of Noor Muqaddam’s father Shaukat Muqaddam and Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq heard the case.
Justice Amir Farooq said that an appeal has also been lodged against the death sentence of the main culprit of this case. The court sought all the records of the trial court in the Noor Muqadam murder case.
The trial court had acquitted all the nine employees, including Zakir Jaffer, Ismat Adam, Khansaman Jamil and Tahir Zahoor, CEO of Therapy Works.
