Islamabad :
According to details, in a tweet on social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that his government would investigate all our citizens mentioned in the Pandora Papers and if any mistake was proved, we would take appropriate action.
I urge the international community to treat this serious injustice as a climate change crisis. Pandora Papers has opened a new Pandora’s box.
Offshore companies of more than 700 Pakistanis have come to the fore. These Pakistanis include the offshore company of the son of former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Ishaq Dar, who is already wanted in several cases in Pakistan and has been summoned by the court several times, is now surrounded by his son’s offshore company. However, in the Pandora Papers, not only the offshore company of the son of the league leader Ishaq Dar but also the offshore companies of many prominent political figures and rulers of Pakistan have come to the fore.
The offshore companies of Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen and the offshore companies of Federal Minister Monis Elahi and Senator Faisal Wawda have come to light. Offshore company is also included. Apart from this, the offshore company of the family of Federal Minister for Industry Khusro Bakhtiar has also appeared in Pandora Papers.
Former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Waqar Masood’s son’s offshore company also came out while executive owner Shoaib Sheikh’s offshore company is also included in Pandora Papers. Noise companies have also come to the fore. If an offshore company has been declared in accordance with the law and that company is not used for any illegal work, then forming an offshore company is not an illegal act in itself.
