In the interview, Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi said that there was no e-mail or phone call from the ACC President and Secretary BCCI regarding the release of calendar year and Asia Cup schedule.
On the question regarding the hosting of the Asia Cup, Najam Sethi said that we want the tournament to be in Pakistan and come to India, but we will not come to Pakistan to adopt this position beforehand, other teams including New Zealand, Australia and England have come to Pakistan.
He said that the political relations between Pakistan and India are not right, but this does not mean that excuses should be made without justification. In the 2011 World Cup, Pakistan had security issues in India, but we came.
The journalist asked that if the Asia Cup is held at a neutral venue, will Pakistan come to India for the World Cup?, to which Najam Sethi replied that the government will decide if they say yes, then they will come, otherwise they will not.
