Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Public Relations, ISPR, Pakistan Army, said that terrorists were trying to tarnish the image of Pakistan but we have almost won the long battle against them.
Addressing the function of National Amateur Short Film Festival in Islamabad with details, DG ISPR said that Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with every blessing, the festival will provide an opportunity to the youth to showcase their talents.
The DG ISPR said that the youth would make short films at the National Amateur Film Festival, which would highlight Pakistan’s positive image in the world. Major General Babar Iftikhar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had attended the event & it will encourage young people.
Babar Iftikhar said that a platform was provided to young filmmakers, documentary producers and directors, thanks to which the festival would highlight Pakistani culture, national identity and the true identity of Pakistan in the world. He said that Pakistan is a lucky country with 60% youth comprising of youth, then why provide youth co-op forum where they can showcase their talents.
He further said that Pakistan’s identity would be brought to the forefront of the world through the festival. The National Amateur Short Film Festival is a platform where capable and hardworking youth of Pakistan have made such themed short films. Formed a team for the festival, contacted 72 universities across the country, created a brand ambassador for the festival.
