Briefing the media after the meeting of the federal cabinet, Fawad Chaudhry said that efforts are being made not to go for lockdown and 5 Eid holidays are being given. He said that the government is serious in this matter. Don’t feel down and don’t let the people face any difficulties.
The government is so serious that we have lodged an FIR against our minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is a country of 20 to 22 crore people. We cannot do everything here with a stick. We have to be wise. This is a matter of our lives.
He said that at present 5,000 victims are in critical condition, before that the pack was 3400 ie 3400 patients were in intensive care and now 5000 people have gone, if we had not taken the steps a year ago that this government He said that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has done a complete lockdown in Mardan where the rate of cod has reached close to 40%.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the nearby cities are in grave danger, that is why the government has completely locked down Mardan yesterday. He said that the last meeting of the NCOC chaired by the Prime Minister was attended by Army Chief and other stakeholders. There were participants, in which the Prime Minister had instructed that if we have to do a complete lockdown, then we have to make all the preparations so that the supply of essential items is not affected.
He said that efforts are being made not to go for lockdown, this time 5 Eid holidays are also being celebrated which will be more than that but it will be beneficial.
