ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Khorasan group has claimed responsibility for the Peshawar blast.
Speaking at the meeting held in the National Assembly regarding the Peshawar tragedy, Rana Sanaullah has said that the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has expressed fear in the briefing that a resident of the police lines facilitated the suicide bombing, but the investigation is still ongoing. are ongoing.
He said that 97 police personnel and officers while 3 civilians were martyred in the bomb blast, security forces and investigative agencies have reached close to the attackers, God willing we will achieve success soon.
Rana Sanaullah said that the responsibility for the suicide blast in the Police Lines Mosque was taken by the Khorasan group of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban. And will take members into confidence.
The Interior Minister said that 216 injured in the suicide blast are being treated in the hospital, out of which 27 are in critical condition. The rescue operation has been completed, many injured and bodies have been recovered from the wreckage.
He said that there was only one suicide, how did the bomber reach the mosque and who facilitated it, the investigations of the institutions are going on and they have come very close. It is against the nation of Pakistan.
