The TTP has announced an extension of the ceasefire with the government of Pakistan, while talks are underway with the terrorist organization in Afghanistan.
Mohammad Khorasani, spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), said in a statement issued to the media through the WhatsApp group that the ceasefire would remain in place until May 30.
Mohammad Khorasani added that a 32-member committee from the Mehsud tribe and a 16-member committee from different tribes of Malakand division had also held talks with the TTP’s negotiating committee on May 13 and 14 at the request of the Pakistani government.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is trying to move this process forward in good faith. We hope that both sides will show flexibility,” he said.
