According to media reports, a case was heard in the Lahore High Court regarding the swearing in of Hamza Shahbaz in which Justice Jawad Hassan remarked that no one should dare to disobey the order of the court.
The High Court passed two orders but they were ignored. According to Express News, Justice Jawad Hassan had said in a conversation with Hamza Shahbaz’s lawyer that if the High Court had passed the order, he would have filed a contempt of court. Gone but no oath was taken.
The Lahore High Court in its April 26 decision had given clear instructions to the governor to abide by the constitution, but the Punjab governor once again flouted the court orders. The attitude of both the President and the Governor of Punjab is treacherous and insulting and both of them demand action of treason. And to take an oath to run the province in a constitutional manner.
