Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed while addressing a press conference in Islamabad said that treason cases should be registered against the parties involved in foreign conspiracy of no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister and they should be declared null and void.

He said that it was very clear in the article of the constitution that if the no-confidence motion was successful then Prime Minister Imran Khan would continue to work with the powers of the president but the constitution was silent on how many days he would continue to work.
He said that it was unfortunate for this country that both father and son, who were to be charged Rs 16 billion on February 18, are thieves and dacoits, candidates in one province and one center. The Awami Muslim League chief said that the last resort is that I directly request the institutions that the question of security of this country has arisen, the fight has gone to the streets, the country cannot afford it.
Announcing a political declaration of war against the opposition, he said, “I am not an ally of the PTI. I have done politics in a single seat but it is my political responsibility to bury the thieves and the political men who have returned to this country.”

In response to a question, he said that Fawad Chaudhry is the law minister, if he sends a petition for sedition case, I will sign it now.
