Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wants to benefit from Turkey’s experience in various fields. Turkish investors should consider Pakistan as their second home.
Pak in Ankara. Addressing the Turkish Business Forum event, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that it is an honor for me to address the Business Forum event. We are here for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, his team, our Turkish brothers and sisters and the business community. The message is that we want to work together.
“Corona and Russia,” he said. Ukraine is facing economic challenges to the world due to the war, trying to deal with the economic challenges facing Pakistan, had a detailed discussion with Turkish businessmen last night.
He said that the aim was not only to strengthen the fraternal ties between the two countries but also to use them for the promotion of trade, investment, culture and people-to-people contacts.
The Prime Minister said that we do not speak one language but we belong to one religion and culture, we have the same history, we supported each other in the most difficult times.
Addressing the Turkish business community, he said that they welcome your full cooperation for investment in Pakistan, everyone is aware of your human welfare projects in Pakistan, after the devastating floods and earthquakes. We are all familiar with the cooperation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish First Lady.
“I invite Turkish businessmen to invest in Pakistan. Your extraordinary achievements in the field of business are a shining example for all. We are seriously looking forward to participating with you in this process,” he said.
Shahbaz Sharif said that I invite you not only to trade between the two countries but also we can trade in other countries together.
He said that Turkey’s automobile industry is extraordinary which also exports to Europe, Pakistan also wants to benefit from Turkey’s automobile industry and wants to learn from Turkey how to promote business at low cost.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan could assist in this by providing its cheap labor, which would benefit both the countries. There are vast investment opportunities for Turkish investors in the energy sector in Pakistan.
He said that similarly there are immense opportunities in the textile industry. Like Turkey, Pakistan’s textile industry is also very strong. With the cooperation of both the countries, the gap can be filled.
He said that Turkey has extraordinary potential in infrastructure, dams and hydel power which Pakistan can take advantage of, through which Turkey can get profit and Pakistan can get cheap electricity, this is a broad vision for which We have to decide the strategy through dialogue.
Shahbaz Sharif said that promotion of solar energy and wind power is needed because a developing country like Pakistan cannot pay high prices for oil and gas, for which we have to move towards hydel power and renewable energy.
“I have come with my team today to convey the message that we would welcome your investment in Pakistan, which would boost trade,” he said.
He said that he did not want to be involved in any political allegations and assured that he would provide all possible facilities for investment in Pakistan and would welcome Turkish investors in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said that Turkish investors would be welcomed on the red carpet, Turkish investors should consider Pakistan as their second home, Turkey’s enemy would be Pakistan’s enemy.
He said that India exports 200 200 billion in its IT industry while Pakistan’s exports in this sector is only ڈی 1.5 billion. There are numerous opportunities for Pakistan and Turkey to work together in this field as well.
