Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that we have successfully overcome the first wave of Corona virus and now we are dealing with the third wave of Corona. The Anti-Corona Task Force consists of representatives of various organizations. We have been strongly asked by the task force to be careful. He said that the rate of cases in Karachi is high so we have to be more strict.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that the rate of positive cases in Karachi is more than 13%. We have to be more strict, we cannot relax SOPs. Beds available in hospitals are filling up fast.
Murad Ali Shah said the rate of positive cases increased sharply after Eid. The rate of cases in a week after Eid is 8%. The number of corona cases was low before Ramadan.
He said there would be a ban on indoor and outdoor dining. It has been decided to close the shops at 6 o’clock instead of 8 o’clock. All schools and colleges will be closed for 2 weeks. The transport will run with 50% passengers.
“I condemn Israeli terrorism in Palestine,” Murad Ali Shah said. The Sindh Assembly has passed a resolution in this regard. The government can play a good role in this matter.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that water distribution should be under the 1991 agreement. We will not allow one province to be green and the other barren.
