Two flights of PIA special flight operation have arrived in Kabul today to bring foreigners who want to leave Kabul immediately after complete control of Taliban in Afghanistan to Pakistan. PIA Chief Executive Officer Air Marshal Arshad Malik first flight According to PIA spokesman Abdullah H Khan, both flights will return to Islamabad from Kabul today.
The first flight of Pakistan International Airlines PK 6249 left Islamabad for Kabul after 1 pm. PIA CEO and retired Air Marshal Arshad Malik was also on board the flight.
The flight landed at Kabul International Airport at 1:55 p.m. The second PIA flight PK6253, a Boeing 777, took off from Islamabad for Kabul at 2:11 p.m.
According to aviation sources, the flight landed at Kabul International Airport at 2:53 pm. Most of them will be delivered to Pakistan today.
According to a PIA spokesman, PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik flew to Kabul on his first flight to encourage staff and meet with Afghan officials.
Arshad Malik will hold important meetings with officials of Afghan Civil Aviation and NATO forces at Kabul Airport. The CEO will also review administrative matters and operations with Pakistani Ambassador Mansoor Khan after the formation of the new government at the airport.
According to the spokesman, flights from other cities in Afghanistan are also being considered as per the instructions of Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar. Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar will allow more flights.
It should be noted that since the Taliban took complete control of Kabul, the United Nations and various countries had requested Pakistan to relocate its citizens to Islamabad on which the PIA had formed a special flight operation.
Meanwhile, Kabul International Airport was closed for commercial flights, yet PIA has flown foreigners and Pakistanis to Islamabad on three special flights.
