Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that we are with the people of Afghanistan, the problems of Afghanistan should be solved by the people of Afghanistan, all previous predictions about Afghanistan have proved to be wrong.
Addressing the 6-nation ‘Virtual Regional Conference’ on the situation in Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that there was no bloodshed in Afghanistan, the Taliban had announced an interim cabinet and were reviewing the changes taking place there. ۔
“The events of the last few weeks have made the region globally important. The Afghan situation will have a profound effect on our region and the world. No one can predict a rapid change in recent events,” he said. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the situation in Afghanistan is difficult and complex, there are new challenges in Afghanistan, we have to cooperate with Afghanistan and the Afghan people.
“Once the political situation in Afghanistan returns to normal, the situation will improve. The influx of refugees, border security and other challenges are before us. The Afghan leadership must ensure that their land is not used against any country,” he added. Shah Mehmood Qureshi also said that while respecting the sovereignty and integrity of Afghanistan, the international community has a role to play in improving Afghanistan’s economic situation.
