The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, while appealing to the Ulema to promote interfaith harmony, said that the Ulema should promote interfaith harmony through the pulpit and mihrab He also played an important role in implementing the SOPs.
According to details, a delegation of Central Ruwit Hilal Committee called on President Arif Alvi. The delegation was led by Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman Ruwit Hilal Committee. On this occasion, the President appealed to the Ulema to promote harmony between religions and sects through the pulpit and mihrab.
He said that ulema should clarify the teachings of Islam on social issues through mosques. Arif Alvi said that Islam was the first to give women the right to inheritance, ulema should raise awareness on women’s rights in inheritance through mosques Also educate people about population and health issues.
In a meeting with the delegation of the Central Route Hilal Competition, the President also said that the Ulema should play their part for the betterment of the society and the promotion of moral values. Meanwhile, the President appreciated the role of the Chairman and the Central Committee in activating the Ruwit Hilal Committees.
