ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to provide more incentives to overseas Pakistanis in the field of remittances. He directed that we are committed to provide facilities to overseas Pakistanis and their families.
According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan on increasing remittances. The meeting was briefed on the achievements of Roshan Digital Account, own car scheme, social service. Imran Khan said that more incentives should be considered for remittances to overseas Pakistanis and detailed and systematic planning should be done keeping in view the economic needs. The Prime Minister directed that a strategy should be formulated by setting future goals.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed by SBP officials that the policy of giving incentives to overseas Pakistanis in terms of remittances is bearing fruit. The briefing further said that Roshan Digital Account In the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, 56 1.561 billion has been received. Despite the corona virus, remittances have continued to increase since fiscal year 2018.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was also informed in the briefing that the “National Remittance Loyalty Program” would be launched soon for the convenience of overseas Pakistanis, through which a mobile application would be introduced.
