Islamabad :
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Virtual Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Unit-2 (K-2) from Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been working for 23 years but has not been able to curb corruption. The reason we catch the little ones,
He said that we should learn from China. China said that when the people at the top are arrested, corruption is actually reduced. One can learn from China how they fought against corruption and showed that no one The country cannot develop unless corruption, especially at the top, is eradicated and the powerful are brought under the rule of law.
Continuing, the Prime Minister quoted the Chinese diplomat as saying that he had sentenced about 400 people at the ministerial level for corruption, which is very important.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, he said, “I am happy that the 1,100-megawatt nuclear power plant will not only generate electricity but also ‘clean energy’.”
This is very important for us because our country is among the 10 countries in the world that are most affected by climate change, 10 countries including Pakistan are most at risk from global warming and the reason is that Our glaciers supply 80% of Pakistan’s river water.
However, as global temperatures rise and glaciers melt, the danger is that if we don’t stop it, our future generations will have a huge water problem because of our country, our agriculture, our food security. Depends on river water.
Referring to the speeches of the heads of the Chinese Atomic Commission, the Prime Minister said that it was training Pakistan’s manpower and would further increase it. During this period, 40,000 Chinese scientists have been coming here. It will be of great benefit to our country.
He said that today we are celebrating the completion of 70 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. We have a unique relationship with China which has become a political relationship that has reached the public level. No, and our manpower goes to other countries of the world, but the relationship with China is that it has reached every level.
He said that the reason for this is that it is ingrained in the hearts of our people that China stands by us in every difficult time and because of this Pakistanis have an emotional attachment with China.
“Diplomatic relations with China are growing and Pakistan is fortunate that our neighbor has reached the top two world powers and the world is predicting that the faster China moves, the better,” he said. Can’t stop
The Prime Minister said that therefore we are very fortunate that our friendship is with a country from which we can learn a lot, the way China expanded the cities of development, handled them, reduced pollution, now face all these problems. Pakistan also has so we can learn more from the western countries than how they overcame them because their development is different from China.
“We especially congratulate the Chinese president on the fact that, according to him, extreme poverty has been eradicated in China, a 35-year journey in which China has planned to lift people out of poverty,” he said. Pakistan can learn a lot from this.
He said that the aim of our government is to bring our people out of poverty, China is a country that has no precedent in the world, another country in a period of 35 years 701 million people. Lifted out of poverty.
He said that in the Pak-China Economic Corridor (C-Pac), our focus was earlier on communication and it is expanding in other areas, especially economic zones, agriculture from which we can learn lessons.
According to the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, K-2 is a state-of-the-art third generation plant with better safety systems, especially for internal and external accidents prevention and emergency response.
The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) operates six nuclear power plants, two in Karachi and four at Chashma in Mianwali district.
