On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, Qureshi said at the meeting: “The international community must effectively stop the entry and bombing of Gaza in order to prevent the Zionist regime from committing crimes against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”
Emphasizing the responsibilities of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in resolving the problems of the Muslim Ummah and creating solidarity among member states, he stated: “Strong support for the Palestinian brothers and sisters should be the main priority of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation; Islamabad therefore declares its readiness to cooperate with other member states to prevent the ongoing Israeli bloodshed in Gaza and to defend the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Territories.
Prior to the meeting, the Pakistani Foreign Minister consulted with many foreign ministers in the region, including the foreign ministers of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, China, Egypt and Sudan, with the aim of raising global awareness of the Palestinian issue and the inhumane actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza. .
