The inside story of the meeting of the coalition parties in the government came to light. Private TV reported citing sources that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif attended the meeting of the coalition parties on video link, during which Nawaz Sharif, Fazlur Rehman and Asif Zardari agreed not to hold immediate elections. ۔
The meeting decided to tighten the noose against Imran Khan and take all the partners into confidence on tough economic decisions and also gave Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif a complete free hand to take big decisions in consultation.
Citing sources, the coalition government will also meet with other economic partners. It was decided to convene a meeting of the National Security Committee soon and it was agreed that the Supreme Court decision does not pose any threat to the coalition government. On this occasion, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that we have tied this drum around our necks and will play together while PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif said that we should not be disturbed by Imran Khan’s meetings. We will hold bigger meetings with them.
On the other hand, the government has decided to bring electoral reforms in the National Assembly next week. Water Resources Minister Khurshid Shah says that electoral reforms are starting from Monday. Elections cannot take place without it. The Election Commission has also asked for 7 months for elections so general elections are not possible till October and November. He said that no decision of no-confidence motion has been taken against the chairman senate, no opinion has been taken from PPP on contempt cases against Imran Khan, Imran Khan is not against the government but against the state. The government went in a constitutional manner.
