The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has decided to ban all kinds of processions on the occasion of Yaum Ali . A special meeting of the NCOC was held on the occasion of Yum Ali, which was chaired by Planning Minister Asad Omar and National Coordinator. Lt. Gen. Hamoodul Zaman Khan did.
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Religious Affairs Minister Noorul Haq Qadri and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health Dr Faisal Sultan also attended the meeting. Provincial secretaries and representatives of law enforcement agencies attended the meeting via video link.
Due to the growing threat of Corona cases across the country and especially in urban areas, the meeting decided to ban all kinds of processions on the occasion of Yom Ali, but Corona strictly enforced SOPs. Meetings will be allowed.
The forums also stressed the need to take religious scholars and community leaders into confidence in implementing these decisions at the provincial and district levels.
