The federal government has decided to pursue the case of Usman Mirza on its own. In this regard, an important meeting was held in the Ministry of Law under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Law in which Parliamentary Secretary Law Malika Bukhari and IG Islamabad participated.
According to sources, it was stated in the meeting that there is irrefutable video of the woman being stripped naked as evidence. It was decided in the meeting that the perpetrators should be punished according to the law. A case of nudity of a boy and a girl was heard in E-XI. The victim girl and her son Asad were produced in the District and Sessions Court.
The victim girl was given a stamp paper in the court by him. The victim testified in court that the police had made up the matter themselves. I did not give the affidavit under any pressure and I did not identify any accused nor did I sign any papers. The victim said that the police kept signing and thumbprinting on simple papers at different times. I do not know any accused and do not want to pursue the case.
It is believed that the case was about to reach its logical conclusion when the victim couple changed their statement yesterday. It may be recalled that in July last year, a video went viral on social media in which a man was seen torturing a boy and a girl while he was also selling gossip while beating the boy. Old videos showing the accused’s weapons have also surfaced.
As soon as the video went viral on social media, it spread like wildfire and the video reached IG Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman, after which he took immediate notice of the incident and ordered SSP operations to arrest the accused. A case of torture and making immoral video against the accused in Golra police station of Islamabad was registered in the complaint of the government, in which the sub-inspector of Islamabad police is the plaintiff.
According to the FIR, the incident took place in the apartments located in E-11. Islamabad Police had arrested the accused Usman Mirza in the video within a few hours while taking immediate action.
