Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan has de-notified 43 members of Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
The Election Commission held a meeting today on the resignations of PTI members, in which it was decided to accept the resignations of the members.
Speaker National Assembly accepted the resignations of 43 PTI members and sent them to the Election Commission, PTI requested the Election Commission not to de-notify.

Apart from the defected members of PTI, only 2 members remained in the National Assembly. The resignations of 123 PTI members have been accepted so far, the resignations of two members were not accepted due to their request for leave.
It should be noted that the PTI members of the National Assembly sent emails to the Speaker to withdraw their resignations a day ago due to the closure of the Parliament House, while letters were also sent to the Speaker to withdraw their resignations.
