Independence Day celebrations are underway across the country. In his message on the occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that we want to reiterate our commitment to uphold the national values of faith, unity and organization. We have overcome difficult challenges in the journey of history to emerge.
Imran Khan said that some of the issues facing the country today are a test of our determination, today the changing situation in the region is a test of our determination, we will overcome obstacles with our determination. The Prime Minister said that we are once again stronger. We will emerge as a nation, the recovery of the economy, the fight against the Corona epidemic has been welcomed, our policies on environmental protection have been appreciated around the world.
He said that on this occasion we should not forget our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, Kashmiris are struggling for their right to self-determination in Indian oppression, Pakistan will continue to fully support Kashmiris for a just cause.
Imran Khan said that in the new Pakistan all our attention is focused on geoeconomics, the first priority is the welfare and prosperity of the people, the government made every effort for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that Pakistan is undoubtedly a gift of Allah to us, play a role in making Pakistan proud, prosperous and peaceful.
It may be recalled that a guard change ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid on the occasion of Independence Day. Cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy took over the duties. Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy offered Fateha at the shrine and laid flowers. A well-armed contingent of naval cadets offered General Salute to the Father of the Nation.
A guard change ceremony was also held at Mazar-e-Iqbal. The Pakistan Army’s Chalk Chuband Troops took over the duties of Honorary Guards. Special Guest Major General Aniq-ur-Rehman Malik visited Mazar-e-Iqbal. He laid a wreath at the shrine and offered Fateha.
