According to details, a long meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security was held under the chairmanship of Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser which lasted for more than eight hours. The in-camera meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security was attended by Army Chief, DG ISI, other military officials, Leader of the Opposition Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and four other Chief Ministers. Pakistan’s army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that this time the United States will not be allowed to use our military bases.
After an eight-hour long meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, in response to a question from a journalist, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa made it clear that this time we will not give airports to the United States.
During the meeting, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed briefed the members of the Assembly on the situation in Occupied Kashmir, Afghanistan and national security.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also attended the meeting of the parliamentary committee. According to the statement, the recommendations of the members will be considered as an important part of the security policy. Special security measures were taken before the extraordinary meeting of the National Security Committee in Parliament. Mobile phones were confiscated from all participants before this extraordinary meeting of the National Security Committee.
The statement from the Parliamentary Committee on National Security said that the political and parliamentary leadership expressed good wishes for peace, development and prosperity in Afghanistan. He said that Pak land was not being used for Afghanistan and hoped that Afghan land would not be used against Pakistan. I would welcome a real people’s government. An effective system of Afghan border customs and border control is also being developed. The political and parliamentary leadership expressed satisfaction over the briefing.
