ISLAMABAD: The 30-year record of rains in Balochistan and Sindh in July has been broken.
Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has tweeted in this regard in which she has compared the rains in a column wise manner. The first column describes the maximum rainfall in different places from July 1 to 9, while the second column describes the rainfall in 2022 during the same period in millimeters.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s chart tweeted by Sherry Rehman, the average maximum rainfall in Balochistan from July 1 to 9 is a record 6.9 mm. The meter is too high.
Similarly, Sindh recorded a maximum of 10.5 mm of rainfall on July 1-9. However, Sindh received an average of 72.1 mm of rainfall during the same period this year, which is 61.6 mm more.
