ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan did not appear before the JIT even on the second summon notice in the case filed under the counter-terrorism.
In this regard, it was informed that the head of JIT, SP investigation wing, Rukhsar Mehdi and the entire team were waiting for the former prime minister. The police said that PTI chairman had earlier sent a statement through his lawyer on the summons notice.
He further said that according to the law, the accused had to undergo a self-involved investigation, while Imran Khan had not submitted a statement through his lawyer.

It should be noted that on September 10, Imran Khan said in the statement submitted to the JIT that because of political opposition, Shahbaz Gul was arrested and tortured by the imported government.
In his statement, Imran Khan had further said that whatever was said in the speech falls under the category of terrorism, nor was it my intention to say so. Numerous false cases have been filed.
