Earlier this month, the Lahore High Court disposed of a petition seeking the release of Saad Rizvi, head of the banned Tehreek-e-Libek Pakistan. A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Amir Bhatti conducted the hearing.
Counsel for the petitioner told the court that our petition has become ineffective. The court had sought arguments on the admissibility of the petition. A two-judge bench of the Lahore High Court disposed of the petition on the ground of withdrawal.
