ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Omar Ata Bandial reached the Supreme Court and took notice of the current situation.
According to a statement issued by the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has taken note of the current situation in the country and will be informed about further steps.
In addition, the PPP challenged the government’s move to reject the no-confidence motion and dissolve the National Assembly in the Supreme Court.
PPP leader Nayyar Bukhari filed a petition in the Supreme Court against these measures. The court staff reached the Supreme Court on a day off today and received the petitions of the opposition.

In the petition, the opposition has requested the court to declare the action of the Deputy Speaker as a violation of Articles 66, 17 and 95 of the Constitution, declare the action of the Deputy Speaker null and void and order re-voting on the no-confidence motion.
In the petition, the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker and others were made parties and said that those responsible for violating the Constitution and violating the Constitution should be tried in accordance with the law.
