The Supreme Court of Pakistan has adjourned the hearing of the suo motu notice on the current constitutional situation in the country till 12 noon tomorrow. Lawyer Farooq H Naik said that the case should be completed today. On which Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that it is not possible to give a decision after hearing it today.
A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan heard the suo motu notice on the current constitutional situation in the country. Lawyer Farooq H Naik took the position that Article 95 does not speak of any charge or accusation against the Prime Minister. Justice Jamal Mandokhel remarked that his case was not about convening a meeting on time.

The Chief Justice questioned whether there is a debate on no-confidence before voting. To which Farooq Naik said that no discussion on no-confidence was allowed. The court inquired whether the Speaker or the House allowed the motion of no-confidence. Justice Muneeb Akhtar asked that the Speaker has the power not to allow motion. Lawyer Farooq H Naik said that the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker do not have the power to dismiss the no-confidence motion. No-confidence motion cannot be decided on the day of voting. The Chief Justice remarked that the parliamentary committee was also mentioned in the rolling of the Deputy Speaker. The opposition deliberately did not participate in the committee.
